News
March 22, 2010: iWorx Introduces a High Resolution Data Acquisition System for Small Animal Research
iWorx has introduced the IX-228S Data Acquisition System for small animal cardiovascular research, Oocyte clamp and high end metabolic research applications. The high resolution, low noise system uses a 16-bit A/D converter to sample data over its full input range of ±10V at speeds up to 100 kHz. The low noise greatly reduces the need for gain and offset. View the full press release here.
January 19, 2010: iWorx Introduces a Suite of Systems, Software and Components for Cardiovascular Research
iWorx has launched a family of cardiovascular research products used to assess cardiac performance and hemodynamics, both in vivo and in vitro. The systems, software and components are used for a number of research applications, including measuring and analyzing blood pressure, electrocardiograms, blood flow and cardiac output, pressure-volume, sonomicrometry dimension and volume, isolated Langendorff and working heart models and isolated tissue studies. September 14 2009: iWorx Introduces Metabolic Measurement Solutions for Human Exercise Physiology Research
iWorx introduces a family of compact, cost effective and easy-to-use metabolic carts capable of accurately and reliably measuring and analyzing oxygen consumption and carbon dioxide production in resting and exercising subjects. The MC-200 Metabolic Cart is optimized for resting and light activity research applications and the MC-200V Metabolic Cart is configured for VO2 max applications. View the full press release here.
January 14, 2009: iWorx Expands Its Line of High Performance 400 Series Recorders
iWorx has expanded its 400 Series line of high performance, research grade recorders with 8 and 16 channel models. The recorders offer 16-bit resolution and low noise performance making them ideal for most research applications. Built-in LabScribe2 Data Acquisition and Analysis software allows “one-click” control of the entire acquisition process, plus includes a large library of standard analytical functions to process data. The 400 Series data recorders are plug and play compatible with any analog amplifiers, probes, transducers, or other accessories. View the full press release here.
June 20, 2008: iWorx Introduces Affordable, Versatile Metabolic Cart
iWorx has introduced the MC-214 Metabolic Cart for measuring breath-by-breath oxygen consumption and carbon dioxide production in exercising subjects. With built-in iWorx LabScribe2 analysis software, the system is capable of measuring and calculating rates of oxygen consumption (VO2), rates of carbon dioxide production (VCO2), respiratory exchange ratios (RER), basal metabolic rates (BMR), aerobic capacities (VO2max), and others. The versatile design and broad range of analysis functions also included, make the MC-214 suitable for research applications in cardiovascular, neuromuscular, and respiratory physiology as well. View the full press release here.
March 12, 2008: iWorx Introduces LabsByDesign Physiology Teaching Labs
LabsByDesign allows instructors to choose from more than 150 iWorx professionally authored lab experiments in cardiovascular, respiratory and neuromuscular physiology using a Web-based selection guide. An automated LabsByDesign configurator then tailors the necessary components and courseware required to teach the labs. This cost-effective approach allows instructors to acquire only the equipment they need to fulfill their lab curriculum without having to purchase standard pre-packaged lab systems that contain equipment they don’t need. View the full press release here.
February 4, 2008: iWorx Introduces LabScribe2 Pressure Volume Loop Analysis Software Module
The LabScribe2 Pressure Volume Loop Software Module provides a powerful and easy to use tool for investigators to measure and analyze the hemodynamic parameters of cardiac and pulmonary pressure and volume data acquired by an iWorx recorder for animal investigations.
