Neurobiology Teaching
iWorx offers 7 experiments and 28 exercises for animal neurobiology teaching and all of the components you need to conduct a comprehensive lab course using both extracellular and intracellular recording techniques to demonstrate important characteristics of excitable tissue. You can find an overview of the learning goals and outcomes for each exercise here.

Design your own labs based on the experiments you want to teach using our unique LabsByDesign configurator or choose the neurobiology teaching kit which enables you to teach all of the neurobiology physiology and additional labs.

LabsByDesign
LabsByDesign is the easiest and most cost effective way for you to design the physiology teaching lab that perfectly fits your curriculum. You can choose from more than 150 iWorx professionally authored lab experiments using a web-based selection guide. You simply check-off those labs you want to teach on a Web form and the LabsByDesign online configurator automatically tailors the necessary components from our complete line of data recording modules, sensors, electrodes, stimulators and other supporting accessories and courseware. One of our LabsByDesign technical consultants will then contact you to ensure the solution fits your requirements precisely - no more, no less.

Neurobiology Teaching Kit

The Neurobiology teaching kit include everything you need to conduct a variety of lab experiments including: membrane potentials and how they develop; action potentials and how they develop and propagate; synapses, transmitters, and receptors, and how they work; neurons in the central nervous system, and how they control specific cells and functions; Motor neurons and how they control or effect organs; and, sensory receptors and how they provide information to the central nervous system. You can find an overview of the learning goals and outcomes for each exercise here.

iWorx teaching kits are optimized for the iWorx high speed, high resolution 214 Recorder and supporting accessories. However, for National Instruments LabView users, iWorx course curriculum also supports National Instruments 6000 Series running NIDAQ v7.3 or greater, including the NI-DAQPAD-6015.

Many other experiments, on a wide variety of excitable tissue, can be performed with the iWorx Neurobiology Teaching Kit because the components included in the kit are versatile devices commonly used in research and teaching laboratories.

If you prefer to teach only a few of the neurobiology experiments available, it may be more cost effective to use iWorx LabsByDesign configurator so you can tailor only the necessary components for your specific experiments of interest.
