Introducing LabScribe2 Data Acquisition and Analysis Software - Free Upgrade for all iWorx Customers


LabScribe software is the cornerstone of iWorx systems for physiology teaching.   It is the easiest to use data recording and analysis solution available for both Windows and Macintosh computers. 

New LabScribe2 software offers a number of new functions and analytical routines that make it more powerful and easier to use.  New features include:


l
  Display Times that can be changed while recording data.
l
  AutoScale with Zoom In and Zoom Out capability.
l  The capability to run on Macintosh OSX, Linux (available 2008), as well as Windows.
l
  Functions may be computed on other computed functions.
l
  Up to 128 channels of computed functions can be recorded.
l
  A new Views Manager that allows unlimited views and up to 64 channels to be displayed in a view.
l
  A voltmeter that is independent of the channels in the Main window.
l
  Switching between Preview Mode and Record Mode. In Preview Mode data is displayed, but not saved.
l
  Pausing of the Display of recorded data while data continues to be saved to disk.
l
  Display format (colors, fonts, line thickness) can be customized.
l
  Sequences can be programmed to start and stop recording, and display messages.
l  Events can be triggered by positive trigger, negative trigger, in window, out of window conditions on Data.
l
  An improved Stimulator toolbar.
l
  The Journal can be displayed simultaneously with any window.
l  An improved Settings Manager Marker.
l
  Channel in XY view, which allows easy identification of points of interest.
l
  In ScopeView, multichannel view of selected sweeps.
l
  Scope Sweep Manager, to manage sweeps in scope mode.
l
  New functions: Moving Average and Savitsky-Golay Smoothing; and Periodic max dp/dt, min dp/dt, mean dp/dt.

Free Upgrade to LabScribe2 Software


As always, iWorx software upgrades are free.  The iWorx license agreement also permits the software to be copied and distributed to other computers.  This enables students to record data in the lab and work on analysis and lab reports at their convenience.

If you are a registered iWorx customers, you can upgrade to LabScribe2 software in the iWorx Users Area.  Or go here to register for access to the Users Area and upgrade your software.

New LabScribe2 Laboratory Manual


A new version of the standard iWorx Physiology Lab Manual is also included with the installers for LabScribe2. The experiments in the manual include:

  • Digital photographs of the devices used in the experiment and their arrangement.

  • Tables displaying the settings used to perform the experiment.

  • Analysis routines that use the newly simplified tools.

  • Organization of the supporting material and settings file for each experiment into chapters that can be designed by the instructor.
