New iWorx Foundations of Human Physiology Lab Manual |
|
A new laboratory manual designed for use in Human Anatomy and
Physiology courses has been released by iWorx. The iWorx
Foundations of Human Physiology Laboratory Manual–Version 1
(P/N IFHPLMV1) includes 15 experiments from which students learn
about the effect of everyday activities upon electrocardiograms
(ECG), heart rate, blood pressure, reflexes, muscle strength,
electromyograms (EMG), breathing rate, lung volumes, and
electroencephalograms (EEG). The manual is written for use with
the new LabScribe2 data recording and analysis software, and it
includes a tutorial experiment designed to acquaint users with the
features of LabScribe2 that will be used in the other experiments
in the manual.
Just like the
new iWorx Physiology Laboratory Manual–Version 4
(P/N IPLMV4) included in the new LabScribe2 installer, the
experiments in the Foundations Manual include: digital photographs
of the devices used in the experiment and their configuration;
tables displaying the settings used to perform the experiment;
analysis routines that use simplified tools; and, the organization
of the supporting material and settings file for each experiment
into chapters that can be designed by the instructor.
Registered
iWorx users can download a pdf of the complete Foundations Manual
here (40MB pdf file). To download a zipped
file containing the on-screen versions of the experiments in the
Foundations Manual and the settings files used with these
experiments. click
here (36MB zip file). To install the
on-screen version of the Foundations Manual, unzip this file to
create the IFHPLM_Settings folder, which contains the pdfs of the
experiments and their setting files organized into chapter
folders, and the settings group for the Foundations Manual. Place
the IFHPLM_Settings folder in the LabScribe2 folder which is in
the iWorx folder on the hard drive of the computer. To use the
